Terms of Service

Effective October 5, 2026

Last Updated October 17, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. They describe the rules for using Candoor and the responsibilities shared by you and MAAE Media.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Candoor, a service operated by MAAE Media ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Candoor, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use Candoor for a company, team, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization where applicable.

2. What Candoor is

Candoor is workspace software for organizing real estate relationships, properties, and transaction progress.

Candoor is not a real estate broker, attorney, lender, title or escrow provider, insurer, tax adviser, or transaction-compliance service. You remain responsible for professional judgment, deadlines, disclosures, recordkeeping, legal and regulatory duties, and every transaction decision. Candoor does not guarantee that a milestone list is complete or suitable for a particular transaction.

3. Accounts and workspaces

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. Protect your credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized use through the Help area. You are responsible for activity through your account except unauthorized activity that you promptly report.

When team invitations become available, the Account owner will control workspace membership. Each person should use an individual account; do not share one login as a substitute for a team-member account.

4. Customer and workspace content

You or your organization retain ownership of content and data submitted to Candoor. You grant MAAE Media a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and improve Candoor.

You represent that you have the authority and permissions needed to enter and process personal information about clients, vendors, and others. Do not upload information you lack authority to use or share.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Candoor to:

  • violate law, commit fraud, facilitate harm, or infringe another person's rights;
  • harass, abuse, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate;
  • violate privacy, data-protection, fair-housing, or other applicable requirements;
  • gain unauthorized access, bypass security, probe vulnerabilities, or misuse another account;
  • introduce malware or disrupt, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service; or
  • copy, harvest, or use data from Candoor without authorization.

6. Property photos and uploads

You are responsible for having all necessary rights to photos and other content you upload. We may apply technical limits, including supported file types and file-size limits, to protect performance and security.

7. Subscriptions, fees, and cancellation

If and when paid plans are offered, the plan price, billing period, included seats, and additional team-member charges displayed at purchase will govern. Fees are billed in advance for the selected period, and applicable taxes may be added.

Plan changes and cancellation take effect according to the terms shown during checkout or in account controls then available. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law, for duplicate or erroneous charges, or under an express written refund policy.

8. Service changes and availability

Candoor will evolve, and features may be added, changed, or removed. Maintenance, outages, and circumstances beyond our control may interrupt access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Material changes to these Terms will be posted with an updated effective date and notice when appropriate. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance where legally permitted; we will seek separate consent when required.

9. Third-party services

Candoor relies on providers for services such as hosting, authentication, storage, email, diagnostics, and payment processing when applicable. Their services and linked third-party sites may have separate terms.

Asset Safe is a separate product and service, even when linked from Candoor. Candoor workspace data does not automatically transfer to Asset Safe.

10. Intellectual property

Candoor's software, branding, design, and related materials belong to MAAE Media or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended business purpose.

You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service except where applicable law permits and cannot be waived.

11. Feedback

If you provide ideas or suggestions, MAAE Media may use them without obligation or compensation. This does not permit us to identify or disclose confidential customer data in feedback.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Candoor and may cancel a paid subscription through the controls available at that time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material Terms violation, a security or legal risk, nonpayment when billing exists, or discontinuation of the service.

We will consider reasonable access or retrieval requests subject to then-current product capabilities, legal obligations, security, and practical availability. This is not a promise of an export feature.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Candoor is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that data, reminders, or milestones are complete, accurate, or sufficient, or that using Candoor satisfies brokerage, legal, regulatory, recordkeeping, or compliance obligations.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MAAE Media and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from Candoor.

Our aggregate liability relating to Candoor will not exceed the greater of (a) fees paid or payable to Candoor for your use during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) $100 for free or prelaunch use. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify MAAE Media from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful content, unlawful use, or material violation of these Terms or another person's rights.

16. Governing law and venue

Texas law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any permitted court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Collin County, Texas, and each party consents to their jurisdiction and venue.

17. Miscellaneous

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the service or relevant assets. These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement about Candoor and supersede prior discussions on that subject.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the Help area in Candoor. A public support contact will be published before paid public launch.
